Portion Control Signs To Sigsaly Transmission & Prepares New Album

porconSigsaly Transmissions is happy to announce the signing of the electronic pioneers, Portion Control. Portion Control is currently working on a new full-length album tentatively entitled “Witness”, to be released on Sigsaly Transmissions in June 2009. “Witness” will reach out to the older fans and new crowds alike with a mix of their traditional sound as well as the men moving into new directions. As always, Portion Control is ahead of the curve.

The band is looking forward to two live appearances in the next few months and is looking to add more dates as opportunity present themselves.

Portion Control are one of the most influential and copied harder edged electronic bands in the world. Formed in London in 1979 they have produced a stream of critically acclaimed releases. Autodafeh Appears In Kobe, Japan

Sunao Anami, the well renowned Japanese electronic musician was captured on video at his Sept. 11th gig wearing the new Autodafeh “Hunt For Glory” T-shirt! Ok, Ok… so ADF did not make it to Kobe but the shirt did…

Sunao is no stranger to Sigsaly Transmissions, he is a good friend.  Sunao recently composed an exclusive track for the Machines Against Hunger compilation.

Sunao started working with synthesizers when he was 13 years old.  He has a huge knowledge of analog and digital synthesis and is a key figure in the field of wavetable synthesis. After playing in the post-new wave band CONTROLLED VOLTAGE in the early ’90s, he built his own Internet servers and started creating improvised electronic music. In 1998, his 1st album was released by the Belgian label, SubRosa.

In 2000, he participated in the Y.M.O. (Yellow Magic Orchestra) remix project “TECHNOPOLIS 2000-00″. Sunao has toured extensively in the past year, performing in Europe, the U.S. and Taiwan with other musicians and dancers, and around Japan.

He also performs twice monthly in a live studio webcast series entitled “Live from Far East” and has done over 70 such webcast gigs since 2002.
He runs CAVE Studio, his own label “electr-ohm” and the electronica/noise label and shop “C.U.E. Records” in Kobe.
And he appears with the legendary Japanese band AUTO-MOD at Kobe Underground Festival.
He is organizing series event at Apple Store in Osaka & Nagoya,it called “mindscapes”.

We’re On A Croation Radio, Whoa-Oh, Radio…

Since the North American release of Autodafeh’s debut album, “Hunt for Glory” and ahead of the November 4th. World-Wide release, the Swedish masters have been getting a decent amount of attention world-wide. The last few weeks the boys have been aired on a really cool Croatian radio show, Elektronski Zvuk.

XP8 Completes US Tour

August 27, 2008

After twelve gigs throughout the USA , XP8’s End Tour 2008 (with System Syn) comes to a conclusion. The tour began on July 25 in El Paso, Texas then headed East, North, then west finishing up at Das Bunker in L.A on August 15, 2008.

Marko & Marco kept a blog while on the tour keeping note of some interesting happenings along the way. Be sure to visit their MySpace page to read the blog and check out the great tour photos.

The boys have returned home to Italy for some well deserved rest. However, not too long though… The must prepare for more upcoming XP8 and Grendel (Marco) gigs in Europe including the Infacted Festival. Infacted Recordings is celebrating it’s 5th anniversary.

XP8 hopes to possibly visit the US again in early 2009!

Benifit Compilation Recieves High Marks

The Machines Against Hunger compilation continues to impress the reviewers. The Web zine, ClainDLK recently awarded the 2CD Compilation 4 out 5 stars. Link to full review here..

Ahead of their North American debut album release, Autodafeh posted a track for free download, “Anger And Hate”.

The full length album, “Hunt For Glory” will be available in USA and Canada on the 15th. The album will also be released worldwide soon after completing promotional and distribution campaigns.
